Mantrana ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered learning intelligence platform operated by Mantrana Tech Pvt Ltd, Gurugram, India. We help JEE aspirants understand their preparation through diagnostic tests and personalised insights.

This policy explains what data we collect when you use mantrana.io and our test platform, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It should be read together with our Terms of Use.

We collect only what is needed to run the platform and generate your insights:

• Account information — your name, phone number, and email address when you register or log in.
• Test and learning data — your answers, scores, time spent per question, navigation between questions, skips, revisits, and answer changes during attempts.
• Derived insights — readiness scores, strength/weakness breakdowns, and study recommendations our systems generate from your attempts.
• Technical data — device and browser type, and the local storage needed to keep you signed in and to protect an in-progress test from being lost on refresh.
• Communications — messages you send us, such as contact-form submissions or support emails.

• To run your tests reliably — saving answers as you go and restoring your attempt after a disconnection.
• To generate your personal insights — readiness score, concept-level analysis, and your study roadmap.
• To build fair peer benchmarks — always from aggregated, anonymised cohorts; you are never identified in comparisons.
• To improve the platform — understanding which questions, insights, and features genuinely help students improve.
• To communicate with you — service updates, results, and responses to your queries.

• We never sell or rent your personal data to advertisers, coaching institutes, or any third party.
• We never track you across other apps or websites.
• We never expose your identity in peer benchmarks or leaderboards without your consent.
• We never let an algorithm be the final word on your ability — insights are guidance, not judgment.

We share data only in these limited situations:

• Service providers — trusted vendors (such as cloud hosting) who process data on our behalf under strict contractual obligations, only to operate the platform.
• Legal requirements — if required by law, regulation, or a valid legal process.
• Business continuity — if Mantrana is involved in a merger or acquisition, your data remains protected under this policy and you will be notified of any change.

We protect your data with industry-standard measures: encryption in transit, authenticated access to your account and attempts, role-based access controls for our team, and the principle of least privilege — people and systems only see what they need to.

No system is perfectly secure. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you promptly and transparently.

We keep your account and learning data for as long as your account is active, so your insights and progress history keep improving with every test.

If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data from active systems within 30 days, retaining only what the law requires us to keep or fully anonymised data that can no longer identify you.

You are always in control of your data. You can:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct — ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Delete — ask us to erase your personal data and close your account.
• Object or restrict — ask us to limit how we process your data.

Mantrana is built for students, many of whom are under 18. We treat student data with heightened care: minimal collection, no advertising use, and no selling — ever.

If you are under 18, please use Mantrana with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian. Parents or guardians may contact us at any time to review or request deletion of their child’s data.

We use browser local storage for essentials only: keeping you signed in, and safeguarding an in-progress test attempt so a refresh or brief disconnection never loses your answers. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you on the platform. Continued use of Mantrana after changes means you accept the updated policy.
